This is the era of globalization. The need of the hour is training individuals to excel in the face of challenges thrown up by a rapidly changing socio-economic-technological scenario at the global level. The younger generation must strive to develop into a well rounded personality with excellent technical, managerial, interpersonal and communication skills; poised at the cutting-edge of technology.

In this context, Dehradun Institute of Technology is doing a commendable job. In a short span of eight years DITians can be found not only in high profile organizations but also in centers of excellence across the world. It is the holistic approach towards the technical education by virtue of which DITians have achieved such an enviable track record.

The feathers in DIT’s cap are endless. To name a few the only self finance engineering college in Uttarakhand to be selected for World Bank Funding; Entrepreneurship Cell functioning under Department of Science and Technology; NBA Accreditation of Electronics and Communications Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Departments; M.Tech in Digital Communication and Thermal Engineering; International Conference in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland the list goes on.

I am very happy to be a part of this vibrant and dynamic organization. We are moving towards a Joint collaboration with Universities in Canada and U.S for dual Degree Programs and Joint R & D Projects in emerging areas of technology. My endeavor is not to rest on the laurels already achieved but to chart a pioneering course of growth whereby DIT achieves the heights of excellence and becomes a potent force to reckon with in the field of technical education vis-a vis the global scenario.
