DIT – The very name denotes Excellence - Excellence in thought, spirit and action. In a short span of10 years, DIT has firmly established itself as a force to recon with in the field of quality technical education in the country. Today, DIT’ians can be found in prestigious organizations in India and abroad – be it the corporate sector, R&D or the media. DIT is renowned for pushing towards increasingly higher frontiers of success and setting a scorching pace of growth that has left its competitors way behind in the dust.

There are numerous feathers in DIT’s cap: the most recent of which is the joint collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, in its MIT i-Campus Program & Undergraduate Research Programme (UROP). DIT also has the privilege of being funded by the World Bank under the Govt. of India, Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP). Academic growth is a priority in DIT and so numerous National and International Conferences are periodically organized – notable among which was the International Conference on Sustainable Development in collaboration with Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland.

The path ahead for DIT is clear -- we look forward to the near future when DIT will be a brand name at the global level -- a name looked at with awe and respect due to its excellent faculty, innovative pedagogy, state-of the-art laboratories, path breaking research activities, prestigious placements and successful industry-institute collaborations. And there is no doubt that we shall achieve it in the years to come.
